Ankle joint // Talocrural joint
Bones : upper part of talus & leg (distal end of tibia + fibula)
Typical hinge type
- Mortise joint (Mortise = รอยบาก , คีม)

Articular surface
- 1. tibia : distal surface, latl surface of medl malleolus
- 2. fibula : triangular facet ที่ medl side of latl malleolus
- 3. talus : trochlea tali, medl & latl malleolar surface
--- medl mall. surface เป็น comma-shaped
--- latl mall. surface เป็น triangular shape

Note
- ด้านหลัง tibia & fibula จะเสริมให้ลึกด้วย transverse tibiofibular lig.

Fibrous capsule
- antr & postr : บาง
- ด้านข้างมี collatl เสริมความแข็งแรง

--- 1. medl collatl lig. of ankle jt. = deltoid lig.; fan-shaped
----- supfl : tibionavicular & tibiocalcanean part
----- deep : antr tibiotalar, postr tibiotalar part

--- 2. latl collatl lig. มี 3 bands
